Tbilisi, April 27 /Sina/ — In the first quarter of 2026, Georgian airports served more than 1.6 million passengers on regular and irregular flights, which is 4.28% higher than the figure for the same period last year. This was reported on Monday by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Tamar Ioselian.

T. Ioselian noted that growth was also recorded in the number of completed flights — approximately 8.7%, while in the cargo air transportation segment the indicator increased by 32.26%.

According to her, together with the National Tourism Administration of Georgia, active work is underway to diversify markets in order to maintain positive dynamics in 2026 and ensure further growth.
