Jakarta, April 27 /Xin Hua/ — Two people died, several others were injured as a result of a collision between a long-distance train and a commuter electric train, which occurred on Monday evening in the city of Bekasi in the Indonesian province of West Java. This was reported by local media.
In the video recording circulated on social media, it can be seen how emergency service workers evacuate the injured passengers from the scene of the incident.
According to the FSB reports, they were sent to the hospital for medical assistance.
“At the moment, all efforts are focused on the evacuation of passengers, the locomotive and train crew, as well as on providing assistance to those injured at the scene of the incident, while ensuring safety remains the top priority,” said Anne Purb, the public relations representative of the railway company KAI.
