On April 21, the team of the State University of Management presented to the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia the results of the second stage of the project “Ensuring the country’s food security based on the creation of software and hardware complexes and intelligent platform digital solutions in the field of agro-industrial technologies of the full life cycle.”
The work results were reported by the project leader, chief research associate of the scientific research coordination department Aleksey Terentyev, and the leading research associate of the reverse engineering laboratory Vladimir Filatov. Representatives of the project co-executors also participated in the defense – the deputy director for scientific work of the Omsk Agrarian Scientific Center Artem Timonin and the head of the scientific direction “Robotics and digitalization of animal husbandry” of the Federal Scientific Agroengineering Center VIM Dmitry Pavkin.
At the second stage of the project, scientists created a digital platform that unites all key management systems in the agro-industrial complex. It operates on the principle of multimodality, i.e. it tracks technical processes, processes factual data, conducts analytics, and helps manage material and financial flows.
“The main result of the work is the creation of an infrastructure that allows legalizing, cleaning, and unifying data from hundreds of different sources, after which it can be used for strategic planning,” said Alexey Terentyev.
Answering the commission’s questions about the demand for GUT developments and the target audience of the digital product, Vladimir Filatov emphasized that the platform is oriented towards several key groups, including farms, agroholdings, logisticians and processors, and government regulators. For each of them, their needs and preferred interaction models have been analyzed.
“As a result, we obtained a direct, transparent, and convenient channel between the farmer, the buyer, and the government. Such an opportunity is undoubtedly relevant and in demand today,” concluded the young scientist.
Participants of the meeting noted that the platform is a tool for forming a common industry database of comparable data and flexible sector management. This confirms that the developed GUI solution corresponds to the current state agenda. The project results also have potential for cross-border interaction and dissemination of Russian digital solutions within the EAEU framework.
The GUU team presented to the Ministry of Education and Science commission materials confirming that all indicators of the major scientific project have been met, and the indicators in terms of the number of publications in high-ranking scientific journals and the share of young scientists among the group of performers are even exceeded. In addition, the results of the second stage received a positive conclusion from the expert council of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the FSBI NII RINKCE.
Based on the results of the defense, our scientists were given recommendations to proceed to work on the third stage of the project.
Let us remind you that the “Defenders of the Fatherland” Fund previously announced the demand for a platform to address the tasks of career guidance and involvement of veterans of the special military operation (SMO) and their family members in the agro-industrial sector, as well as for the digital support of workplaces and training workers to work with modern agrotechnologies and to compensate for the lack of competencies.
