Beijing, April 21 /Xinhua/ — China firmly opposes and strongly condemns recent negative actions by Japan related to the Yasukuni Shrine, and has made serious representations and protest statements to the Japanese side concerning this matter, official spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC Geng Shuang said on Tuesday.

Go Izyakun made such a statement at yet another departmental press conference after the Prime Minister of Japan, Sanae Takaichi, sent a ritual offering to the sadly famous Yasukuni Shrine on Tuesday, which is considered a symbol of Japanese militarism and military aggression. -0-
