The painting of the film studio “ROK” tells about one of the prominent Soviet composers of the 20th century. Filming took place both in Moscow and in Saint Petersburg. The roles in the film are played byOleg Savtsov, Evgeny Tsyganov, Nikita Kologriviy, Polina Tsyganova, Darya Balabanova, Maria Smolnikova, Lev Zulkarnayev, Danila Kozlovskyand others.

In a comment for Mosfilm.ru, Fyodor Lednev shared that the tasks before the musicians were very challenging: «Along with how the plot shifts from different times and geographical locations, we need to present a representation of the sound of various orchestras. We have scenes from the 1970s, the 1930s, and the play “Lady Macbeth” from the beginning of 1936, as well as a rehearsal of this play. And even a conditional concert at Carnegie Hall. All of this is different times, different acoustic points.

Between the duplicates, the director of the film Alexey Uchitel shared his impressions of the joint work: “During the filming, we consciously used a recording of session musicians, very professional, but still it was a working recording. And what I hear now in the studio is, of course, a top-level. The orchestra is amazing, really. Sometimes it is very difficult musically to embody all the ideas, to capture the necessary emotional state. This does not happen immediately and is not easy, it takes a lot of effort, but when, as now, it happens — we all, the sound directors, the composers, and the orchestra — understand each other at a glance. Without this, it is impossible».

Work on the sound for the film is underway at Mosfilm in several directions (Atmosfera studio). The editing of the clean soundtrack and background noises, the recording of synchronous noises are being carried out. The meticulous stage of speech dubbing of characters and crowd scenes will take several weeks. The completion of all work on creating the final soundtrack for the film is expected by the autumn of the current year.

Sound director Pavel Doreuli previously gave a detailed account of working on the sound for the film “Noise of Time”.
