The First Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia, Denis Manturov, during a working trip to the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited the Tashkent plant for the construction and repair of passenger cars (TVSRZ).
TVSRZ is the only enterprise in Uzbekistan specializing in the repair, modernization, and re-equipment of passenger cars. Within the framework of strengthening Russian-Uzbek cooperation, domestic technologies and many years of successful experience in the development, production, and maintenance of railway equipment are actively used. The main goal of the ongoing work is to expand the presence of domestic transport engineering products in the Uzbekistan market with the possibility of further export deliveries.
As emphasized by First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, the unique engineering school and production base formed still from Soviet times allow Russian and Uzbek enterprises to jointly solve tasks of any complexity taking into account the current and future needs of the transport sector.
“Our key manufacturers are widely represented in the Uzbekistan market. Since 2007, equipment worth more than 30 billion rubles has been supplied – electric trains, diesel locomotives, metro cars, freight cars, as well as diesel engines, other components and kits. Interaction also occurs along the lines of repair and service, digitization, and modernization of local infrastructure. Speaking of localization, as of today Russian companies are already actively involved in this process,” said Denis Manturov.
In addition to production cooperation, technological cooperation is actively developing. Last year, “Transmash Holding” opened a competency development center “Innovative Rail Transport” based on the Tashkent State Technical University.
