40+ hours of practice, 13 professions, and visits to the offices of leading companies

From March 30 to April 3, a career orientation week for schoolchildren was held in RUDN, where everyone could try on a profession even before entering university.

In 5 days, participants immersed themselves in13In the professional sphere and conducted more40In hours of working with RUDN experts. The program included visits to the offices of the largest Russian companies, such as VK, Sber, RT, European Media Group, and Gazprom. At the end of the week, each participant received a career guidance consultation, a checklist for choosing a profession, a life hack for admission, a certificate for the portfolio, and branded RUDN merchandise.

“Choosing a profession is one of the life-defining decisions of a person, and it is not easy to avoid mistakes. That is exactly why we created a platform for ‘trying on’ professions. Practical activities and a clear understanding of various spheres of activity help a student not just to choose a specialty, but to consciously build their own path,” —Marzhanat Abduragimova, head of the department for working with talented youth and support of RUHN applicants.

The project has been gathering participants from various cities and countries for more than just the first time. This year, schoolchildren from Kyrgyzstan specially flew in to the RUDN “Profweek”. Parents note that the format helps solve one of the main tasks of adolescence — to understand oneself.

“It’s quite difficult to decide who you want to become at the ages of 14–17. The “Profnavigator” RUDN helps to reveal professions from the inside. The organization was at a high level,” —Lyudmila Sergeevna Karpova, participant’s mother.

For many guys, the week was no longer a first experience, and they plan to return again.

“It was an insanely great experience to try myself in different directions and professions. I’ve already participated twice. I will gladly come to the “Profweek” of RUDN again in the fall of 2026!” —Abdel Sater Majd Khalil, participant, 10th class.
