The First Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia, Denis Manturov, took part in the international industrial exhibition “Innoprom. Central Asia,” where he opened the main plenary session “Technological breakthroughs – a new industrial landscape of Eurasia.”

The First Deputy Prime Minister noted that Russia’s cooperation with the countries of the macro-region is aimed at long-term cooperation with an emphasis on increasing the technological level of joint projects.

“Our companies have long and successfully worked with all the states of the macro-region. In particular, in Uzbekistan, more than 3 thousand enterprises with Russian capital are operating. With their participation, over 150 investment projects are being implemented for a total amount of about 4 trillion rubles. I especially emphasize the active transformation of our interaction to a new, modern model. Taking into account the creation of joint industrial parks, unique conditions are being formed for the production of high-tech products. Under this ideology, two sites are already operating – ‘Chirchik’ and ‘Jizzakh’,” said Denis Manturov.

The First Deputy Prime Minister outlined the key areas of cooperation with the countries of Central Asia, including metallurgy, mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, light industry, hydroelectric power, and the construction of nuclear power plants.

“Thus, today we have formed a solid foundation for mutually beneficial industrial partnership. Along with that, its potential is much broader. To fully realize it, it is important for us to actively promote business interests on the platform of integration associations. To use the existing toolkit to support cooperation projects within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union. To expand industrial programs across the space of the CIS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. To saturate the interstate dialogue in the format “Central Asia – Russia” with applied initiatives, the first deputy prime minister said.

“Russia remains one of Uzbekistan’s key partners in industrial cooperation: with the participation of Russian capital, there are over 3,200 joint ventures operating in our country. It is believed that the current ‘Innoprom’ will allow launching new joint solutions and projects, strengthen long-term partnership ties, and bring cooperation to a new level. Today, Uzbekistan offers partners not just a market, but a full platform for the localization of production and access to markets across the entire region,” said Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev.

Together with the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Hokim of Navoi region Normat Tursunov, the head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, and the head of the “Arnest” group Alexey Sagal, Denis Manturov launched the first production lines of Unigroup Navoyi — an industrial project of the “Arnest” group in Uzbekistan — via video link. Modern production of cosmetics and household chemicals in the territory of the “Navoi” free economic zone was created within the framework of industrial cooperation with the republic.
