A subsidiary of KAMAZ – SETrans – participated in the presentation of a racing car created by students of the I. A. Likhachyov Moscow Technological College.

Experts from the company served as honored guests at the event held at VDNH, in pavilion No. 53 of the “Special Purpose Garage” museum. For “SETrans,” this is an opportunity to be the first to see the practical results of the students’ training and to assess their potential as a talent pool. The cooperation between “SETrans” and the I. A. Likhachyov Mechanical and Technical College is systemic and based on mutually beneficial principles: the college gains access to real production challenges and industry standards to develop practice-oriented education, while the company gets engaged and trained potential employees who already demonstrate the necessary competencies during their studies.

In 2024, the I. A. Likhachyov Mechanical Engineering College (MTK) became the first educational institution with which SETrans signed a partnership agreement. Currently, 20 students from the college are employed at KAMAZ’s service company, and this number continues to grow. Participation in the presentation allowed SETrans representatives not only to see the results of the student project but also to assess teamwork skills, engineering thinking, and the students’ readiness to solve complex problems — qualities that are directly demanded by the company.

“It is very valuable to see how enthusiastic students are about real projects and complex tasks, – noted head of production training group Evgeny Rusin. – They will also have something to do in our company: we work with advanced technologies and the latest developments in urban passenger equipment. Projects like the racing car show that the guys have interest, abilities, and the desire to develop, and we will be happy to give them every opportunity for this.

The plans include further expansion of cooperation: joint educational modules, internships, and new projects that enable students to engage with current production challenges even during their studies.
