The XIII District Gathering of Student Teams of the Northwestern Federal District was held in Veliky Novgorod. This large-scale event, organized within the framework of the national project “Youth and Children,” brought together over 800 participants from 11 regions—from Kaliningrad and Murmansk to Pskov and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The student teams from Polytech honorably represented the university and brought back a number of prestigious awards.
Based on the results of the Spartakiad of student teams of the Northwestern Federal District, the outcomes in individual and team sports were summed up: table tennis, chess, basketball, tug of war, football, and volleyball. The first place in the overall team standings was taken by the team of the Saint Petersburg regional branch of the Russian Student Teams, which included polytechnic students.

Stepan Vakulin from SSO “Iskra” and Nikita Sokol from SOP “Provorny” played on the basketball team that took first place.

In creative competitions, Polina Chyornaya from SSO “GOST” won the nomination “Author’s Song with Recorded Arrangement.” In the nomination “Small Ensemble,” a first-degree diploma was awarded to the musical group consisting of Denis Trubinov and Vladislav Syromyatnikov from SSxO “Django.”
The Polytech headquarters team, which included Yuri Gaichuk from SSO “Astra”, Polina Ursegova from SPO “Legenda”, and Anna Martynova from SSO “BORSCH”, took second place in the media contest in the category “Media Team.” Polina Chyornaya from SSO “GOST” was recognized as the best press secretary of the linear student squads, taking first place.
Winning the district rally is the result of great teamwork by the entire headquarters. We are proud of every fighter who contributed their efforts to the preparation and performance. These awards are confirmation that the student squads of Polytech remain among the strongest in the country, noted the former commander of the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University student squads, Henri Ogannisyan.
Following the results of the rally, the Polytech headquarters confirmed its status as the leader of the student brigade movement in the Northwest and once again proved that Polytech students are ready to represent the university with distinction at the highest level.
