Order dated October 16, 2026, No. 2935-r
More than 5 billion rubles will be allocated for the servicing of current stocks of the federal intervention fund for agricultural products. The order for this was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Funds will come from the Cabinet’s reserve fund. The decision is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted servicing of agricultural product stocks and preserving the grain already purchased.
The Federal Agricultural Intervention Fund is formed through procurement interventions. The government purchases products into the intervention fund when prices fall. This removes surplus from the market, and agricultural producers receive the support they need.
Speaking about the decision made at the Government meeting on October 15, Mikhail Mishustin reported that the harvest campaign is completed on more than 90% of the sown areas and it is already clear that the yield will not be lower than in previous years.
“This will allow us to satisfy domestic demand—indeed, for some types of products, even with a surplus,” emphasized the head of the cabinet.
