In the nine months of 2026, the “Networks for Their Own” movement of the Voikovsky district sent over 50 tons of humanitarian cargo to the special military operation (SMO) zone. Activists provide targeted assistance to soldiers and send packages to hospitals, supplying them with necessary items and equipment. More than 4,500 people have already joined the association’s work.
The movement was initiated by the Novozhilov family. In March 2022, she began collecting humanitarian aid. Concerned Moscow residents immediately joined the activists. Later, volunteers started making camouflage nets, tactical stretchers, cloaks, raincoats, and anti-drone covers. Currently, “Leshy” capes for scouts and assault troops are in demand. Hospitals send requests for clothing for patients — activists sew sweatpants and fleece jackets. Some come to work at the headquarters, while others take materials home to later bring finished products.
“We are a united team, today there are more than 4,500 of us: weaving, sewing, assembling, then delivering to the guys. Camouflage nets are constantly needed by the military. Usually standard ones are required — three by six meters, but sometimes special ones too. In June, activists, for example, wove large nets — five by six meters — for camouflaging ‘Ural’ vehicles. They were already delivered in July,” said Ksenia Novozhilova, leader of the volunteer organization.
By the end of September, participants of “Networks for Our Own” had gathered about two tons of cargo for shipment. The humanitarian package included three generators, hygiene products, medicines, 60 camouflage nets, 30 “Leshiy” cloaks, as well as drawings and letters from children for the fighters. About 400 hoodies and sweatpants were sewn upon requests from hospitals. The humanitarian convoy is sent to the frontline weekly. Since the beginning of the special military operation, a total of 445 tons of parcels have been delivered to the frontline.
In October, the “Networks for Their Own” movement will deliver another batch of cargo to military units. It will include “Leshi” mantles, fleece jackets, camouflage nets, trench candles, hygiene products, energy bars, as well as generators and diesel heaters.
