On the second level of the “Delovoy Tsentr” transfer hub, the photo exhibition “Non-random Parallels” has opened. It is held as part of the charitable project of the Moscow Art Theatre (MXT) named after A.P. Chekhov #TheatreHelps. The exhibition combines art and charity. It can be visited until November 10 inclusive.

“By the order of Sergey Sobyanin, we actively participate in the cultural life of the capital. Together with the Moscow Art Theatre named after A.P. Chekhov, we have opened a new photo exhibition. It is dedicated to the charitable project “Theatre Helps” and tells about the good deeds of the well-known actors of the troupe. This is not our first collaboration: together we have produced thematic “Troika” cards, organized exhibitions and even launched a branded train. We invite passengers to visit the new photo exhibition and learn about the theater’s charitable mission,” noted the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry

Maxim Liksutov.

The exhibition is based on the idea of the interconnection between life and the stage. Nine diptychs inspired by famous paintings have been prepared for the guests. They tell about charitable foundations supported by the theater actors.

The video with Konstantin Khabensky is inspired by portraits from the early Renaissance period. During that time, the individual was considered the highest value. The actor’s image is connected with the work of the Konstantin Khabensky Charitable Foundation, which helps children and young adults with brain tumors.

Alexandra Rebenok supports the Life as a Miracle foundation, so Art Nouveau styling was chosen for her image. The smooth lines characteristic of this artistic movement symbolize the path from illness to recovery.

Sofya Ernst introduced the “Give Food” foundation. She became the heroine of a modern variation on the theme of Valentin Serov’s painting “Girl with Peaches.”

In addition, Igor Vernik, Mikhail Porechenkov, Kristina Babushkina, Natalia Shvets, Ulyana Glushkova, Olga Voronina, and other MXT actors participated in the project. Their characters are associated with the funds “Artist,” “Sports Start with Children,” “Good Deeds Bureau,” “Love Syndrome,” “Vera,” and “Volunteers to Help Orphans.”

The idea for the exhibition “Unintentional Parallels” arose thanks to the annual charitable project of the Moscow Art Theatre (MXT) #TheatreHelps. As part of this initiative, the audience supports those helped by their favorite artists.
