The government has extended the state support program for agricultural insurance to agricultural producers in new regions.

Starting from 2027, agricultural producers in the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, will be able to receive subsidies to cover part of the insurance premium under crop insurance contracts. To this end, amendments have been made to the state program for the development of agriculture and regulation of the markets for agricultural products, raw materials, and foodstuffs.

Such government support will help reduce the financial losses of local producers, including those related to adverse weather conditions and natural disasters.

The issue was discussed at the meeting with the vice prime ministers on October 13.
