Graduate of the Faculty of Economics and Management at Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering Dmitry Evstifeev became a scholarship holder of the Government of the Russian Federation. Among his achievements are winning a grant competition at St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering for student research, publications on logistics in construction, and a prize-winning place in the All-Russian supply management competition.
In 2026, Dmitry graduated from SPbGASU, where he studied at the Department of Construction Management specializing in ‘Logistics in Construction.’ He is currently working in logistics, in the procurement sector, and simultaneously studying in the master’s program at the automotive and road faculty, majoring in ‘Technology of Transport Processes.’
From digitalizing supply to optimizing delivery
Dmitry’s scientific interests are related to logistics in construction, management of material flows, interaction between construction organizations and suppliers, as well as the digital transformation of supply processes.
One of the significant achievements of the graduate was winning the St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering grant competition for conducting student research with the project “Digital Transformation of the Interaction Processes between Construction Organizations and Suppliers Based on Logistic Concepts.” The focus of the study is on opportunities to improve the interaction of supply participants, coordination of material flows, and the application of digital tools to enhance delivery efficiency.

Dmitry also published an article titled “Logistic Models of Interaction Between Construction Organizations and Suppliers in the Digital Economy” in the journal “Economics of Construction,” which is included in the List of Peer-Reviewed Scientific Publications of the Higher Attestation Commission. Another one of his works – “Application of Integrated Logistic Concepts in the Management of Material Flows in the Sphere of Material and Technical Supply of Construction” – was published in the collection of scientific papers “Theory and Practice of Management in Construction.”
Among other scientific achievements are presentations at all-Russian scientific and practical conferences. Topics of the reports include Russia’s construction industry import dependence, logistics problems and ways to overcome them, as well as the application of integrated logistics concepts in managing material flows.
In addition, Dmitry took second place at the II All-Russian competition in the competency “Effective Supply Management” in the nomination “Technical Solution,” and participated in interuniversity business games, forums, hackathons, and other professional events.
Science and practice – in one direction
Today Dmitry continues to advance research based on his experience in procurement, supply, and logistics. One of the promising areas of his work is optimizing the delivery of construction materials by road transport. He plans to dedicate a report to this topic at a scientific conference and to develop it further as part of his master’s thesis.
The practical significance of the research lies in increasing the efficiency of logistics processes, rational use of transport resources, and cost reduction. For the construction industry, organizing timely deliveries is of particular importance, as it directly affects adherence to work schedules and resource utilization.
“For me, this scholarship is above all recognition of the work done and an incentive to continue developing in the scientific community,” Dmitry notes.
SPbGASU played an important role in his professional and scientific development. The graduate especially highlights the support of the professor, head of the Department of Construction Management, Doctor of Economic Sciences Nataliya Pletneva, who helped him prepare scientific articles and presentations at conferences. In addition, Dmitry is grateful to the associate professor of the Department of Construction Economics and Housing and Communal Services, Candidate of Economic Sciences Artemy Taranov, who already in the first year drew his attention to the opportunities for professional development through participation in university events.
In the coming years, Dmitry Evstifeev intends to continue research in the field of construction logistics, develop the projects he has started, and prepare for graduate school. He plans to combine scientific work with industry employment in order to apply research approaches to solve practical problems.
For a graduate of SPbGASU, receiving the Russian Government scholarship became an important milestone in their professional journey and an additional motivation for further scientific work.
