Specialists urban economy complex In Moscow, three residential buildings in the Orekhovo-Borisovo Yuzhnoye district are being renovated as part of the capital repair program for the housing stock. During the work, the facades, roof, basement, and engineering system mains are being updated.

The work affected houses 16, 18, and 20/2 on Orekhovy Boulevard. These are 22-story multi-apartment buildings constructed in 1987 based on a modified standard series design. The facades have a complex plasticity — protruding rows of panels and loggia niches. The end walls are made of reinforced concrete panels with rectangular recesses. The balcony slabs have rounded corners, and their screens in common areas feature panels. A modern “wet facade” technology, which has proven effective in the major renovation of residential buildings, is being used to update the exterior appearance of the structures.

Preparatory work began with clearing and washing the exposed surfaces. Next, the specialists prime the surfaces, install brackets for air conditioners and their mounting baskets, and also glue insulation boards made of mineral wool in two layers — taking into account the structural features of this series of houses. Then they plaster the decorative layer and paint the facades. Among the chosen colors are ‘red-brown’, ‘traffic gray’, and ‘signal white’.

On the balconies, they are renewing the slabs and painting the concrete screens. In addition, craftsmen are putting the entrance groups in order. Modern double-glazed windows are being installed in common areas, and the old roofing layer is being replaced on the roof. They are also renovating the blind area and the building plinth.

At the same time, the basement premises are being repaired and new mains of engineering systems are being laid: central heating, drainage, cold and hot water supply.
