On the 18th and 19th of April, with the support of PJSC “KAMAZ” in Naberezhnye Chelny, the XXII Scientific and Popular Festival “Digital History” will take place.
The festival is dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny and the 50th anniversary of the release of the first KAMAZ vehicle; it will bring together historians, popularizers of science, and industry representatives. The theme of the meeting is “Breakthroughs into the Future.” The program includes an exhibition of KAMAZ vehicles, interactive displays, autograph sessions, lectures by famous Russian historians, journalists, and scientists.Among the speakers are candidate of historical sciences, researcher of the Great Patriotic War Alexey Isaev, candidate of historical sciences, head of the archaeological detachment of the “Gnyozdovo” museum-reserve Vasily Novikov, military historian, lecturer, author of a special course on the history of Russia in the 18th century Boris Kipnis, and others.
“Digital History” has earned the reputation of being one of the most influential popularizers of historical knowledge in Russia. The founder of the project is a Russian historian, educator, laureate of the “Knowledge” award, director of the scientific research foundation “Digital History” Egor Yakovlev. The festivals discuss complex topics and recent scientific discoveries in an informative and entertaining manner. Each year the speakers are historians and scientists with worldwide recognition. The events also feature stars of cinema and television, government figures, and writers.This year, special guests of the festival include theater and film actor, the lead role performer in the series “Truckers” Vladimir Gostyuhin and the general director of PJSC “KAMAZ” Sergey Kogogin.
