In the northeast of the capital, in the Otradnoye district, construction continues on a school for 600 students. The building is being erected at the address: Signalny proezd, property 16, building 27/1. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.

“The readiness of the educational institution is over 60 percent. Currently, facade and roofing works are underway here, along with connection to engineering networks. The glazing has already been completed. The building has variable floors—from three to four stories. The interior space is divided into two functional blocks: elementary, as well as basic and middle school. They are connected in the central part. This solution ensures convenient navigation and allows creating a comfortable environment for students of different ages. After construction is completed, the facility will be transferred to the city education system,” said Vladimir Efimov.

A ventilated facade system is used for exterior finishing, as well as concrete tiles resembling brick and ceramic tiles. Entrance groups will be decorated with contrasting materials and recessed relative to the main plane of the walls to protect them from precipitation. Stained-glass glazing using double-glazed units and aluminum profiles will give the building a modern look.

All main rooms will have natural lighting. The ceiling height in classrooms will be about 3.3 meters, and in gymnasiums — nearly six meters.

On the territory, areas will be created for students of different ages. For elementary and primary school students, play zones with shade canopies will be equipped, and for older children — a separate space. In addition, there will be a place for quiet rest and an educational-experimental zone where children can practically learn the basics of botany and agronomy.

For sports activities, courts will be equipped for volleyball, basketball, and mini-football. In addition, a three-lane circular running track 180 meters long will be arranged, along with a long jump sector and an area for gymnastics and passing the GTO standards. Here, it will also be possible to play table tennis.

There will be sidewalks and pedestrian paths near the school. Access routes for fire-fighting equipment will also be provided. In addition, bike parking and spaces for vehicles of less mobile citizens will appear. The area will be landscaped: trees and shrubs will be planted here, and lawns will be arranged.

The school has been under construction since January 2024. The progress is being monitored by Moscow City State Construction Supervision Committee (Mosgosstroynadzor).

“Committee inspectors accompany the project implementation on the land plot of almost 1.4 hectares from the preparatory stage to acceptance. Seven control and supervisory activities have already been conducted, including with the involvement of specialists from the subordinate state budgetary institution ‘CEIIS’ for instrumental quality control of the work performed and the materials used,” explained the chairman of Mosgosstroynadzor.

Earlier, Sergey Sobyanin said that in Shcherbinka opened kindergarten for 300 places.
