Specialists complex of Moscow’s urban economy they renovate city courtyards, making public spaces functional and accessible for residents of all ages. As part of large-scale improvement works, special attention is given to playgrounds.

Today, large themed constructions are appearing in the capital’s playgrounds, becoming the main visual focal point of each courtyard. Among them are fairy-tale medieval castles, multi-level towers, and large-scale play towns around which young Muscovites can create various scenarios for active recreation and educational games.

Thus, in the Khamovniki district on Novokonyushenny Lane, the central element of the play area became a complex in the form of a medieval castle. It was complemented by open spiral and closed helical slides, so the structure simultaneously serves as a prominent architectural feature of the playground and a large play complex.

A fairy-tale town appeared in Troitsk on 2nd Novovatutinskaya Street and Novovatutinsky Avenue. The central place is occupied by a multi-level complex in the form of a fairy-tale castle. Separate play structures are provided for younger children, so the space is divided into several zones.

A tower-shaped structure has become the center of the play areas in the Vykhino-Zhulebino district on Tashkentskaya Street. On one of the playgrounds, a large multi-level complex with two towers connected by a bridge was installed. It was complemented with spiral slides and other play elements. In the adjacent area, a tall tower complex with a slide appeared.

Thematic structures make the play area recognizable. A castle or a tall tower becomes its central element, around which swings, carousels, and other objects are arranged. Bright decoration does not replace functionality — inside large complexes, passages, stairs, slides, and platforms at different levels are combined. As a result, the yards acquire not just new play elements, but spaces with their own image — from a medieval castle to a whole tower town.
