About how the main routes have changed city trips, Sergey Sobyanin spoke on his channel on in the “Max” messenger.

77 express and mainline routes have been launched. In 2025, five new routes of this kind appeared. This year, two more started operating, and four routes are expected to open by the end of 2026.

On the main routes, they operate modern electric buses of Russian production. The buses were redistributed to more in-demand routes. This allowed for shorter intervals and reduced waiting time for passengers.

Five years ago, about 200 routes were adjusted in the Central and Southern Administrative Districts, new stops appeared, and navigation improved. During this time, passenger traffic on them increased by almost 25 percent.

“Over the past 10 years, the main routes have expanded far beyond the original area of changes in the center and south of Moscow. The route network has turned into a large-scale system that constantly adapts to the city’s needs. Trips have become more comfortable and regular,” noted Sergey Sobyanin.
