The Vadim Sidur Museum and the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA), subordinate to the capital’s Department of Culture, invite you to visit the exhibition «Marina Spivak | Vadim Sidur. The Tuning Fork of Childhood». Guests will see the project of the sculptor, artist, graphic artist, and book author Marina Spivak and the sculptor and artist Vadim Sidur.

At the center of the exhibition is the image of a child as a source of creative movement and a state of inner freedom characteristic of a child’s perception. Such a child appears in many of Vadim Sidur’s works—for example, in the autobiographical novel “Myth. A Monument to the Contemporary State,” in poetry, and in sculpture. The embodiment of this image was Misha Shunkov—a student of the artist’s wife, later adopted by Sidur, and then becoming the founder and first director of the Vadim Sidur Museum (from 1989 to 2010).

Marina Spivak transfers the image of a child into everyday reality. Her sculptures and fabric collages present the viewer with a perspective on how the inner compass of childhood operates in daily life. At the same time, the contrast of materials — from metal to fabric — emphasizes that both firmness and fragility lie at the core of this perception.

The exhibition also includes works from the collection MMOMA. The exhibition at the Vadim Sidur Museum (37a Novogireevskaya Street) will run until March 28, 2027. Tickets can be purchased through the service “Mosbilet”.

Its collection includes more than a thousand sculptures and graphic works by Vadim Sidur, as well as numerous archival materials.

The museum library’s collections include Russian and foreign publications about Vadim Sidur, exhibition catalogs, research anthologies, illustrated fiction about this artist, the poetry series “Evenings at the Sidur Museum,” as well as literature on contemporary culture and art theory.
