Enterprises of Rosneft operating in the Krasnoyarsk Territory – RN-Vankor, Slavneft-Krasnoyarskneftegaz, Achinsk NPZ participated in the Career Week of the M.F. Reshetnev Siberian State University of Science and Technology.
Students from one of Siberia’s leading universities got acquainted with key regional industry employers. Oil industry professionals organized lectures, presentations, poster sessions, interactive locations, and job fairs.
Young specialists of “RN-Vankor” — former graduates of Reshetnev University — at a meeting with students of the faculties of oil and gas, mechanical engineering, and chemical technology talked about the adaptation program for young specialists, the possibility of career growth, and the work of the enterprise’s Youth Council.
Special interest among students was caused by the interactive quiz on professional topics related to oil extraction technologies, field characteristics, and industry innovations.
At the job fair, oil industry professionals presented students with detailed information about a sought-after profession, conditions for internships and apprenticeships, as well as employment opportunities and social guarantees, especially features of working in the North.
Krasnoyarsk Krai is one of the largest oil-producing regions in the country, with leading enterprises of Rosneft operating in its territory, which explains the increased interest of young people in professions related to the oil and gas industry. The active participation of oil workers in career events at Krasnoyarsk universities and other regions brings a tangible effect thanks to lively dialogue, exchange of information, and selection of the best candidates for work at enterprises in the region.
The best graduates of universities and technical schools annually join the team of “RN-Vankor.” Over the entire period of work at the enterprise, about 2 thousand young professionals have been employed. This year, 600 future oil workers will have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge and gain experience at the Vankor cluster fields. Every year, hundreds of students from leading universities and technical schools of the country undergo internships at the enterprise’s facilities. In total, over 4 thousand Russian students have completed industrial and pre-diploma internships at “RN-Vankor” during the time of its operation in the region.
To ensure that Rosneft enterprises in the Krasnoyarsk Territory have qualified personnel, a comprehensive recruiting and professional and higher education support program has been implemented for several years. Among the key educational partner institutions of the project are twelve regional educational institutions, including the Siberian Federal University. More than 30 specialized training areas have been formed according to the needs of the region’s oil industry workers.In addition, the training of personnel for the region’s oil industry is carried out within the framework of the federal project “Professionalism” with the active participation of “Rosneft” enterprises.
