The student team from GUU won the special nomination “Innovations for Life” at the All-Russian competition for the protection of geographic information systems (GIS) “My Smart City”.
Thirteen teams from 10 leading universities across the country, from Saint Petersburg to Vladikavkaz, competed for the title of the best in the competition final. The State University of Management, under the guidance of Alexandra Malkova, was represented by students of the Department of Logistics and Transport-Technological Systems: Darya Bolshakova, Vasily Ignatenko, Andrey Kupriychuk, Liana Tsarik, and Chan Ngok Dan Chinh.
The team presented a project for an intelligent ecosystem to protect wildlife in the urban environment of Moscow and the Moscow region, receiving high praise for its interdisciplinary approach and social significance. As a result of the jury’s evaluation, our team won in the category “Innovation for Life.”
“The most intense moment was the Q&A session, when it was necessary to respond instantly to deep expert comments. It was an invaluable experience of teamwork and professional growth,” noted team member Darya Bolshakova.
We congratulate the students on their successful performance at the federal level and wish them further success in their research activities!
