Tbilisi, April 16 /Sina/ — In January-March 2026, Georgia was visited by 997,529 foreign tourists, which is 4 percent more year on year. This was reported on Wednesday by the National Tourism Administration of the country.
For the reporting period, the total number of international trips to Georgia, including transit and non-tourist ones, amounted to 1.3 million, which is 1.1% less than in the same period of 2025.
The leaders in the number of arrivals into the country remained Turkish citizens, and the USA, the UK, and Germany also entered the list of key tourist markets. From January to March of the current year, the number of visits from the EU countries and the UK jumped by 30.2 percent to 96,226, while there is a significant increase in the number of travelers from a number of European countries.
In addition, Georgia has also been frequently visited by citizens of distant countries, particularly the Republic of Korea and China, while the number of arrivals from the USA increased by 19.3%.
