At the Engineering and Construction Institute of SPbPU, an Open House Day was held. It was conducted in both in-person and remote formats. Prospective students and their parents became acquainted with the institute’s educational programs, features of the educational process, graduate employment prospects, and the admission rules for 2026. The event took place in the Research Building “Technopolis Polytech.”

A rich interactive program was organized for the guests. It included an exhibition of student works in the fields of “Design” and “Environmental Design”, “Construction” and “Construction of Unique Buildings and Structures”, construction technology competitions, the VR laboratory “Safety of Vital Activity”, a first aid master class, and a drawing of souvenir prizes.Applicants and their parents were also given tours of the institute’s educational classrooms and modern laboratories, including the teaching laboratory “Innovative Road Construction Materials”, the teaching laboratory “Additive Technologies and 3D Printing”, “MetaCampus Politech”, and the classrooms of the Higher School of Design and Architecture.

The participants of the Open Day were welcomed by the director of the Engineering and Construction Institute, Marina Petrochenko. In her speech, she presented the structure and achievements of the ECI, as well as spoke about the possibility of academic mobility for students and the specifics of the education. Then, the responsible secretary of the ECI admissions committee, Alexander Doronin, explained in detail the admission rules for 2026, preparatory courses for applicants applying to educational programs of bachelor’s, specialist, and master’s degrees.

An employee of the admissions committee for the programs “Construction” and “Construction of Unique Buildings and Structures” Maria Tavrueva presented information about the possibilities of student life to the guests. After the introductory part, there was a “question-answer” session during which applicants and their parents were able to ask interesting questions to the representatives of the institute.

Students of the bachelor’s and master’s programs at ISI — Vyacheslav Rudakov, Anna Kravtsova, Anastasia Malyi, and Tatyana Reminnaya — talked about the training directions “Construction” and “Construction of Unique Buildings and Structures” for applicants. The training direction “Technical Safety” was presented by the ISI bachelor’s student Daniil Smirnov. Bachelor’s student Elizaveta Mitropolskaya spoke about the direction “Design of the Architectural Environment.” The direction “Design” was presented by bachelor’s students Maria Khalkina and Svetlana Zagarova.

At the event, applicants familiarized themselves with the institute’s educational programs and received consultations from teachers, students, and alumni.
