Beijing, April 16 /Xin Hua/ — In January-February 2026, exports from China of the category of goods called the “new trio,” namely electric vehicles, photoelectric elements, and lithium batteries, via the automobile Customs Port of Manzhouli /Inner Mongolia, North China/, located on the border of China and Russia, increased 10.1 times year-on-year to 387 million yuan /about 56.4 million USD/, according to a statement posted on the official website of the Manzhouli city government.
The sharp increase in exports of such products through the Manzhouli automobile CCP testifies to the constant delivery of Chinese-made products in the high-price segment of the global value chain, and also reflects the efforts of local customs officials to enhance the efficiency of customs control in order to promote the growth of supplies of such goods to the international market.
Implementing such mechanisms as “nullifying enterprise problems” and “direct communication between the head of customs and enterprises,” the local customs dynamically monitors notifications from foreign countries about technological and trade measures in the field of new energy sources, statistically strengthens the analysis of exports of “the new trio” goods, and purposefully provides enterprises with information about trade and political measures to help them timely familiarize themselves with the global market situation and effectively respond to international trade risks.
At the same time, serious attention is being paid at the automobile CPP to the coordinated development of the “intellectual customs” and the “smart checkpoint,” which allows significantly reducing the inspection time and the passage for vehicles leaving across the border.
In addition, the local customs actively identify the role of mechanisms of interaction between China and Russia, as well as between customs, enterprises, and local governments, strengthening data and information exchange and improving the system of joint response to emergencies in order to ensure uninterrupted customs clearance of goods.
Being an important “window” of China’s openness to the north, the Manzhouli automobile port witnessed the optimization of the country’s foreign trade structure.
