More than 670 million rubles will be additionally allocated to a number of regions for the implementation of measures to support agricultural insurance. The order on the redistribution of federal budget funds for these purposes was signed by the Chairman of the Government, Mikhail Mishustin.

Funding will be provided to 21 regions that reported additional needs in 2026. These are the republics of Karelia, Crimea, Mari El, Mordovia, Udmurtia, Chuvashia, Krasnodar Krai, and the Astrakhan, Bryansk, Vladimir, Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Kirov, Kostroma, Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Saratov, Smolensk, Rostov, and Tomsk regions.

“We expect that thanks to the measures taken, the agro-industrial complex will continue to achieve high results, develop production capacities, and provide people across the country with quality products,” noted Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting with deputy prime ministers on September 28.

The mechanism of state support for agricultural insurance is implemented within the framework of the state program for agricultural development. Through this mechanism, subsidies are allocated from the federal budget to pay part of the insurance premium for contracts insuring sowing areas, agricultural animals, and aquaculture facilities. In 2026, more than 5.5 billion rubles are allocated in the federal budget for these purposes.
