More than 300 volunteers from the capital will assist in the organization International Padel Tournament “Moscow-2026”, which will take place from October 19 to 25. It will introduce guests to one of the fastest-growing sports in the world. The volunteers’ tasks will include guiding visitors, assisting participants with accommodation, accompanying foreign judges, interacting with athletes, and much more. “Sports volunteers participate annually in the city’s landmark competitions. Thanks to their care and sincere involvement, the athletes’ contests become even more colorful and memorable. They not only assist in organizing events but also become an important link of interaction between organizers, athletes, and spectators,” said Alexander Levit, director of the resource center “Mosvolonter.”
What the volunteers will do
At the International Padel Tournament, Moscow volunteers will assist in three venues. At the Luzhniki Tennis Palace, they will support athletes and fans from October 19 to 23. At the Irina Viner Gymnastics Palace — from October 21 to 25. At the sports grounds, helpers will be engaged in two shifts from 07:00 to 22:00.
Volunteers will assist with navigation and coordinate the flow of participants. At information desks, they will answer questions and provide consultations to guests and athletes.
Volunteers will support the refereeing team. They will assist foreign referees with oral translation, explain the regulations, and translate urgent notifications, while providing organizational assistance to Russian judges during the event.
Throughout all the days, volunteers will monitor the tournament’s playing areas. Their tasks are to quickly and promptly return balls to players and referees, maintain the continuity of the game, and preserve the match’s pace.
At the Irina Viner Gymnastics Palace, volunteers will also help issue accreditation to media representatives, organize the work of the press center, provide guidance on the location of venues, and promptly respond to journalists’ requests.
In the hotel, assistants will meet and accompany athletes from 08:30 to 20:00 from October 21 to 25, as well as assist in the special photo zone and create a comfortable atmosphere during the shoot.
Volunteers at the tournament can be recognized by their branded uniforms and badges. For helping with the city celebration, they will be given letters of appreciation and credited with volunteer hours, which will appear in their personal account on the website. mosvolonter.ru within two weeks after the event ends.
Registration and selection
Residents of the capital can help at the international tournament by registering on the official website of the resource center before October 15. “Mosvolonter”. After filling out the form, the team leader will contact each person and provide detailed information. Priority will be given to volunteers willing to help on several shifts in a row. Muscovites who choose roles related to foreign language proficiency will undergo a mandatory selection process in the form of an online interview with a recruiter. For communication with foreign participants, the English language level must be at least B2, and knowledge of Spanish will be an additional advantage — this will expand the possibilities of interacting with the event guests.
