Regional finals of the All-Russian Schoolchildren’s Entrepreneurship Olympiad are being held in Russia, with one of the co-organizers being the State University of Management.
12,757 talented students from grades 9-11 from all over the country took part in the qualifying stages, training courses, and webinars with experts, and also developed individual and team entrepreneurial initiatives. More than 400 high school students advanced to the regional finals, from which 27 winners will be selected – three from each district.
The final events have already taken place at the venues of leading universities in Rostov-on-Don, Pyatigorsk, Tyumen, Tomsk, and Samara.
Next in line for admission are enterprising high school seniors — Khabarovsk, Saint Petersburg, and Moscow, where two finals will take place, one of which will feature schoolchildren from Belgorod and the country’s historical regions.
Within the framework of regional finals, teams present projects in key economic sectors – from technological, ecological, social, and educational solutions to entertainment and recreational initiatives, as well as developments aimed at the growth of the commercial sector. These works are evaluated by an expert jury based on originality, potential for implementation and monetization, as well as market relevance.
Olympiad winners will receive up to 10 additional points when enrolling in more than 50 leading universities in the country and the opportunity to study in the field of developing entrepreneurial competencies and improving their business projects. The brightest teams will be able to undergo internships in regional Technoparks and become participants in acceleration programs.
The Olympiad is held as part of the development of youth entrepreneurship in Russia and is aimed at fostering entrepreneurial thinking among schoolchildren and supporting their talents, which is one of the priority goals of national development until 2030.
The initiator of the Olympiad is the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation with the organizational support of the Skolkovo Foundation, MISiS – the Russian Technological University, the State University of Management, and the Center for the Development of Innovation Technologies “IT-Planet.” The partner co-organizer is PJSC Sberbank. Among the strategic partners are the All-Russian Movement of Children and Youth “Movement First” and the All-Russian Public Organization of Small and Medium Entrepreneurship “OPORA RUSSIA.”The Olympics are also supported by the Project Office for the Development of Youth Entrepreneurship in educational organizations of higher education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, Rosmolodezh, the charitable fund “CAPITAN”, the international platform of intellectual competitions Braim, the All-Russian movement “Innovators”, and the regional social programs fund “Contribution to the Future”.
