In Bishkek, a presentation of educational manuals for specialties related to the Chinese language for universities of Kyrgyzstan was held

Bishkek, April 15 /Xin Hua/ — The presentation of textbooks for specialties related to the Chinese language for universities in Kyrgyzstan took place on Wednesday at the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic named after A. Osmonov in the capital city of Bishkek. The event was attended by employees of the PRC Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, representatives of educational and publishing circles of the two countries.

Two textbooks were presented at the event — “A Practical Writing Textbook” and “An Anthology of Chinese Culture,” compiled by experts from such institutions as the Confucius Institute at Osh State University, the Confucius Institute at the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn, the Confucius Institute at the Tajik National University, and the Sinkiang Pedagogical University, and published by the higher education publishing company “Phoenix” based in Zhejiang.Textbooks are oriented towards students specializing in fields related to the Chinese language in Central Asian universities and are adapted to the local learning needs, which has a positive significance for improving the quality of Chinese language teaching in the region.

Counselor-Envoy of the PRC Embassy in Kyrgyzstan Li Hua noted in his speech that deepening mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan requires a significant number of highly qualified specialists, including translators. “In this context, the publication of textbooks on the Chinese language for Kyrgyzstan’s universities is gaining special relevance,” he emphasized.

The Deputy Director for Science of the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic named after A. Osmonov, Sairagul Kyrchoobaeva, called the publication of the textbooks a remarkable event. She expressed hope that the cultural and educational ties between Kyrgyzstan and China will continuously develop.

Lü Ibo, Deputy General Director of the Xiansu Publishing Company of Higher Education “Phoenix”, expressed hope that these two textbooks would become the best aids for students in studying Chinese culture and improving professional qualifications, contributing to strengthening friendship between the two countries.

As part of the presentation, a ceremony was held to donate textbooks to the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic named after A. Osmonov, the Confucius Institutes, and local educational institutions. –0–
