The forum “Finance for Growth. Comprehensive Tools for Business” was held in Moscow. Experts told entrepreneurs how to use banking and non-banking instruments for the development of companies. The event was organized by the Moscow economic policy complex as part of the Moscow Financial Forum — 2026.
“Finance and insurance are one of the key sectors and reliable partners of the capital’s economy: today, the contribution of the financial sector to Moscow’s gross regional product is about 12 percent, the industry accounts for more than five percent of those employed in the city’s economy. Moscow rightfully is called the main financial center of the country: more than half of all credit institutions in Russia are located here, nearly three quarters of their assets are concentrated here, as well as one third of those employed in the sector. It is important to note that the city’s financial sector is one of the most high-tech, which means services are provided quickly, qualitatively, and at a high level. Its tools are represented in the capital as widely as possible, but entrepreneurs are not always aware of them and are not familiar with all their possibilities. Today, when business has a great need for financing operational activities and investment projects, knowledge of the market of these tools is especially relevant,” she emphasized in her welcoming speech.
Maria Bagreeva, Deputy Mayor of Moscow, Head of the Moscow Department of Economic Policy and Development.
The forum brought together over 500 leaders and top managers of capital city companies from various economic sectors, entrepreneurs, representatives of industry associations, and financial organizations. The plenary session featured Maria Bagreeva, president of the National Financial Association; Vasily Zablotsky, president of the All-Russian Union of Insurers; Evgeny Ufimcev, vice president of the United Leasing Association; Tatiana Kapura; and Dmitry Shevchenko, executive director of the Factoring Companies Association of Russia.
As participants of the plenary session noted, there are many financial instruments available today to solve various tasks. However, businesses do not use all the opportunities: entrepreneurs may be unaware of some of them, may not understand how they work, or may lack the time or desire to study the offers. As a result, companies often reject solutions that fit their needs. Another mistake businesses make is ignoring federal and regional support measures that help attract borrowed funds and simplify obtaining other financial services.
At the same time, the speakers warned entrepreneurs against excessive enthusiasm for financial instruments. They should be used judiciously, choosing those necessary for solving a specific task.
At sessions on five key areas — leasing, insurance, factoring, capital management, and banking services — participants learned about the features of financial instruments and the possibilities of their application to solve business challenges. The speakers were heads, top managers, and leading specialists from banks, factoring, leasing, insurance, management, and investment companies. Representatives of the Moscow Government spoke about financial support measures for businesses and ways to obtain them.
“The forum became a platform for productive dialogue between financial sector companies and business. Financial organizations were able to tell entrepreneurs about their products and services that can help businesses solve a variety of work tasks, and entrepreneurs, in turn, received a unique opportunity to communicate their needs and requests regarding financial instruments to them,” summarized Maria Bagreeva.
