The Presidium of the Moscow Government approved a project for the construction of two public-business infrastructure facilities as part of the city program to stimulate the creation of employment opportunities. Three thousand jobs will be created at these facilities.
Two new office buildings will be constructed in the Shchukino district. They will be located at: Volokolamskoye Highway, land plot No. 32 and Aviatsionnaya Street, property 22. The total area of the facilities planned for construction under the employment locations creation program will exceed 48,500 square meters.
Program to encourage the creation of workplaces was approved by the Moscow Government in 2019 (resolution dated December 31, No. 1874-PP) with the aim of encouraging housing developers to actively build industrial, business, social, cultural, and other important city facilities. Investors who create new jobs simultaneously with housing construction receive a payment discount for changing the permitted land use to residential development.
The implementation of the program stimulates comprehensive balanced development of new districts, reduces the shortage of jobs in established neighborhoods, and decreases excessive pendulum migration.
Within the framework of this program, Government of Moscow has already approved the creation of about 330 facilities with a total area of at least 11 million square meters, including modern industrial enterprises, office and commercial facilities, educational, cultural, and sports institutions. In total, about four trillion rubles will be invested in the city’s development and the creation of jobs. A significant portion of the investments will be directed towards the development of high-tech industry.
The program to stimulate the creation of workplaces will allow the opening of at least 500,000 new jobs in almost all sectors of the city’s economy. So far, 74 facilities have been built under the program, where over 76,000 new jobs have been created.
