Another 550 charging stations for electric vehicles will appear in the capital, they will be placed in all districts of the city. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.
“Electric transport is becoming increasingly popular among Muscovites, so according to Sergey Sobyanin’s directive, we are actively developing a convenient urban charging infrastructure. Based on contracts concluded by the State Public Institution ‘Administrator of Moscow Parking Space’ (‘AMPP’), 550 new stations will appear in the city. Charging does not produce harmful emissions and therefore positively affects the air quality in the capital,” noted Maxim Liksutov.
The highest number of charging stations will be installed in the Northern Administrative District of the capital — 96 units. In the South-Eastern District, 82 stations will appear, in the South-Western — 79, in the North-Eastern — 74, in the Southern — 67, in the Eastern and Western — 50 each, in the North-Western — 38, in the Central — six, in Zelenogradsky — four. Another four stations will be located in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky Administrative Districts.
Charging sessions at new stations will be manageable via the app “Parking of Russia”.
Currently, there are more than 450 stations operating in the city as part of the “Energy of Moscow” project. The site for placing new ones will be provided by the State Public Institution “AMPP”, and the operator will install and service the equipment.
