Fish market “Moscow — on the wave” has been operating in Mitino for two years. It became the second venue of the city project: the first market opened in the Kosino-Ukhtomsky district in November 2023.
In honor of the market’s birthday on September 25, customers can expect special offers. A 15 percent discount applies to the entire range throughout the day. Participants in the special military operation, pensioners, and large families will receive a 20 percent discount. For this, pensioners and large families need to present an ID. The promotion is valid for one day only and does not apply to delivery.
Holiday on the market
In addition to discounts, guests of the fish market “Moscow – on the wave” will enjoy a festive program. At 15:00, seafood paella will be prepared for tasting. At 16:00, a blind tasting “From source to ocean” will begin: five participants randomly selected from those who applied on the market’s social media page. “VKontakte”, with their eyes closed, will try nine types of fish. The samples will be divided into three categories (‘river’, ‘sea’, and ‘ocean’), and participants will need to identify each type relying solely on taste.
The grand prize for the winner is a whole fresh-frozen trout or sterlet of choice. Each participant in the blind tasting will receive a branded shopper bag as a gift. Anyone interested can observe the event, admission is free.
Fish and seafood from different regions
The market offers more than 600 varieties of fish and seafood from 17 regions of Russia. The catch geography covers three oceans and 13 seas washing the Russian coasts.
The sales leaders remain northern spicy-salted herring, pink salmon for salting, and hot-smoked mackerel. In addition to them, customers can find chum salmon, Commander squid, Kamchatka crab, and sea scallop.
The market also offers a range of in-house semi-finished products: minced pink salmon and cod, seafood skewers for grilling, shrimp in mango-chili sauce, and much more. You can complement your purchase with salmon skin chips, dried zander cheeks, or fish sausage.
At the fish markets “Moscow — on the wave,” in addition to the trading halls, there are specialized storage areas and food courts. A distinctive feature of these marketplaces is their own laboratories, which monitor the quality of all products.
