“Orenburgneft,” a key asset of “Rosneft” in the Volga region, organized a costume-themed track and field race. The sporting event, dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, opened the running season and brought together representatives of different generations, nationalities, and professions on a single venue.
Workers of the enterprise, activists of the “Pervyi Movement” and representatives of the Buzuluk running communities took part in the sports and cultural run. A bright decoration of the holiday was the national costumes of the ethnic groups living in the territory of Orenburg. The athletes appeared on the course in Russian sarafans and kosovorotkas, Belarusian linen shirts with ornaments, Tatar kaftans and tubeteikas, Bashkir dresses with chest decorations, Mordovian embroidered shirts and panaras, and Chuvash headdresses with coins.
The route of the run covered the traditional five kilometers along the picturesque alleys of the park. For young participants, the organizers prepared a distance of five hundred meters. In addition, an educational quiz “Encyclopedia of the Native Land” was organized for all guests, with questions about the history of Orenburg, national customs, and folklore. On the improvised fairground, a tasting of national dishes was held accompanied by folk melodies. Guests tried aromatic Tatar chak-chak, crumbly Bashkir kystyby with mashed potatoes, Mordovian millet pancakes, and Chuvash meat pies.The program concluded with a parade of the holiday participants in traditional Russian kokoshniks.

In the regions where the Company operates, it builds and modernizes multifunctional sports complexes and venues, ice arenas, and conducts mass sports events in various disciplines for children and adults.
