From June to August, about 1,600 resettlement participants became owners of modern housing according to renovation program in the South-Eastern Administrative Okrug. Residents of 46 old buildings received new apartments. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Vladimir Efimov.
“In the three summer months, contracts for apartments in modern residential complexes under the renovation program in the southeast of Moscow were signed by almost 1.6 thousand city residents. This is about 60 percent more than during the same period in 2025, when documents for relocation were processed for only about a thousand people. More than a third of the rights holders of comfortable housing in the district appeared in the Kuzminki area over the past summer — about 700 people. Almost 320 participants in the relocation received equal apartments in new buildings in the Nizhegorodsky district, about 200 city residents each — in the Ryazansky district, Lyublino, and Tekstilshchiki,” said Vladimir Efimov.
The houses built as part of the renovation program transform not only the housing stock of the capital but also improve the comfort of the urban environment as a whole. When designing the interior space and courtyard area, barrier-free environment criteria are observed. The ground floors of the residential complexes are allocated for retail outlets, service enterprises, and city organizations. Children’s and sports playgrounds, as well as recreational areas, are arranged near the new buildings.
This summer, more than 7,300 residents from 43 old buildings in the southeast of the capital began inspecting housing in new buildings. Of these, about 5,700 city dwellers have already signed agreements to relocate, including nearly 1,400 Muscovites who have signed contracts for equivalent apartments. Currently, more than 5,900 people are in the process of document formalization in the district. To make this process as fast as possible, relocation participants can upload copies of personal and title documents in advance to prepare the contract project for the new housing through the superservice
“Relocation under the renovation program”. This option on the mos.ru portal becomes available to residents of old houses as soon as they receive notifications from the city about the start of relocation,” she added Ekaterina Solovyova, Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the Moscow Department of City Property.
The renovation program was approved in August 2017. It concerns about one million Muscovites and provides for the resettlement of 5,176 houses. Earlier, Sergey Sobyanin ordered twofold to accelerate the pace of the renovation program implementation. In addition, he reported that in August the capital launched the second phase of the plant for the production of prefab structures. They enable the accelerated construction of residential buildings, including as part of the renovation program.
