September in Moscow museums under the city’s Department of Culture is a kaleidoscope of formats — from walking tours through the Arbat alleys to themed days with wolfdogs. “Mosbilet” has gathered the main events from the city poster for the near future. “Flowers of Our Gardens” at the K.A. Timiryazev State Biological Museum is an annual series of cut flower exhibitions. The Fates of the Russian Diaspora” at the Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of the Russian Abroad is dedicated to the history of a poetess and dancer who was called the White Apple Tree and the Heavenly Angel — for her beauty and talent. In 1940, her first collection of poems was published in Harbin, and she earned a living by dancing, considered one of the most talented dancers of Russian China. She performed in Harbin, then in Shanghai, devised dances and stage costumes, and was friends with many poets. After the change of power in China, Larisa Andersen left the country, married a Frenchman, traveled around half the world, and settled in France, where she continued to create and maintain extensive correspondence. In 2006, a book of her poems and memoirs was published in Russia.
Lecture tour “Alexander Vertinsky. Three Lives of the Russian Pierrot” will take place at the Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of the Russian Diaspora on September 26. A rising star of the Silver Age, in exile he became the voice of the spiritual quests of the displaced, and during the Great Patriotic War he returned to his homeland. On September 17, the “Buzzing World” program will be held at the venues of the State Biological Museum and the “Biocluster.” The festival dedicated to the kingdom of insects will unfold simultaneously across three venues.
