In the Ochakovo-Matveevskoye district, construction continues on a school with a capacity of 775 places. It will appear in a modern residential quarter at the address: Ochakovskoye Highway, land plot No. 11b. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.
“On Ochakovskoye Highway, construction continues on a school for 775 students in grades 1 through 11. Specialists are carrying out facade, roofing, and finishing work on the building, and installing engineering equipment. The construction of the facility is over 75 percent complete. After commissioning, the school will be handed over to the city. Inside, universal and specialized classrooms, laboratory-research complexes, and an IT polygon will be equipped. The classrooms will be divided into two separate blocks — for primary grades, and for the main and secondary school grades. This will help avoid the crossing of student flows,” said Vladimir Efimov.
The architectural appearance of the building will harmoniously combine two functional zones. A bas-relief depicting a wolf cub is placed on the facade facing the boulevard.
The educational block will be designed in a light color scheme and faced with concrete tiles that will visually imitate brick masonry. Panels made of brushed aluminum will give the facades expressiveness and a modern look. The leisure center will be made predominantly of glass — aluminum stained-glass systems with metal inserts will provide visual lightness to the structure, emphasizing the contrast of architectural solutions.
The school will be equipped with two transformable sports halls. In addition, accessible areas will be created for students, such as a media library and rooms for extracurricular education.
The adjacent area of 1.6 hectares will be comprehensively landscaped: 16 trees and over 500 shrubs will be planted there, including pines, maples, hydrangeas, lilacs, and thuja. Near the building, zones will be arranged for school-wide events, quiet relaxation, active games for different age groups, outdoor classes, as well as a sports ground for basketball and mini-football, a circular running track, and a jumping pit with a runway. The project also includes a training and experimental area and a place for storing bicycles and scooters.
Inspectors from the capital oversee the quality of the construction of the facility Committee of State Construction Supervision (Mosgosstroy Nadzor). They have been monitoring the progress of the work since its commencement in August 2024.
“The social facility is being constructed on a land plot with an area of over 1.6 hectares. Inspectors from the Moscow City State Construction Supervision Committee have already conducted the ninth on-site inspection, during which they assessed the quality of the completed structural works and the materials used for compliance with the design documentation requirements, as well as the approved architectural and urban planning solution,” added the head of the agency.
Earlier, Sergey Sobyanin spoke about the opening of a school for 2,100 students in in the Vnukovo district.
