Charitable service The portal mos.ru brings together more than 100 verified non-profit organizations (NPOs). They support residents of various regions of Russia. In the capital Department of Information Technology they told how the service works and which foundation’s wards its users have helped.
“You can do good deeds without a reason, because even small transfers add up to a total result. Someone might consider the transferred 100 rubles a modest amount, but for another person it can become a significant support. Everyone chooses their own form of participation: you can limit yourself to a one-time transfer or set up regular payments. In more than five years of the service’s operation, nearly 200,000 people have supported the wards of charitable organizations through it,” noted the agency’s press service.
The service allows you to support beneficiaries of foundations, including seriously ill children and adults, people with disabilities, the elderly, large and low-income families, and homeless animals. To make a donation, you need to select a program and specify the amount. If it’s difficult to choose a single organization, you can select several at once or use the “Help Everyone” function — then the donation will be distributed equally among all participants in the selected category.
For those who want to participate in charity systematically, an autopayment feature is provided. It can be activated after authorization and the first transfer by setting a convenient frequency and amount. Such support allows NGOs to assist a larger number of beneficiaries, start long-term programs, and implement important social projects.
