Washington, April 14 /Xin Hua/ — The American army is carrying out a mission to blockade ships entering Iranian ports and leaving from there; the blockade applies equally to ships of all countries. This was reported on Tuesday by the Central Command of the United States Armed Forces.

“Not a single vessel was able to overcome the American blockade in the first 24 hours,” the message on the social network X says, which also notes that more than 10 thousand sailors, naval servicemen, and pilots, as well as more than a dozen warships and dozens of aircraft, are involved in implementing the blockade.

It is indicated that six merchant vessels complied with the requirement of the American forces to turn around and re-enter one of the Iranian ports in the Oman Gulf.

The blockade is encircling Iranian seaports and coastal areas, including all Iranian ports on the Arabian and Omani Gulfs, the statement adds.
