From September 25 to 27, the cultural and educational event “Moscow Stories” will take place in the capital, timed to coincide with World Tourism Day. It will bring together more than 160 venues — from museums and theaters to historic estates, it was announced Natalya Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.

Children and teenagers will enjoy walks around the new territory of the Moscow Zoo and a quest to the favorite places of Alexander Pushkin.
Participants of the gastronomic journey will learn where the signature recipe of the capital’s Olivier salad was invented and which dishes of Moscow chefs were to the taste of Fyodor Dostoevsky and Anton Chekhov.

Moreover, this year, for the first time, tours for visually impaired people will be organized. One of them is dedicated to Maya Plisetskaya — one of the greatest ballerinas of the 20th century. The route will unite places associated with the prima: from the Bolshoi Theatre and the house where the famous dancer lived to the square named in her honor. Musical recordings, scents, and tactile objects will help immerse visitors in the story of how Plisetskaya’s roles changed the world of ballet.
Since 2020, nearly four thousand tours have been conducted as part of the campaign, with 94,000 people joining them.
