Specialists Moscow urban economy complex have completed the repair of Salvador Allende Street in the northern part of the capital. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Pyotr Biryukov.
“This year, a comprehensive repair was carried out on Salvador Allende Street, located in the Sokol district. The main task was to create comfortable conditions for drivers and pedestrians, and to organize convenient routes to residential neighborhoods, as well as to transport and socially significant facilities,” noted Petr Biryukov.
During the work, the asphalt concrete pavement on the roadway and sidewalks, covering a total area of more than 12 thousand square meters, was completely replaced. Energy-efficient streetlights were also installed on the street. Unregulated pedestrian crossings were equipped with contrasting lighting supports, which make pedestrians more visible to drivers at night. In the final stage, the area was landscaped: about 1,500 square meters of lawn were laid.
When selecting sites for comprehensive repairs, inter-repair intervals, pavement condition, traffic intensity, and proximity to significant facilities are taken into account.
