From June to August 2026, nearly 11,200 residents of the capital obtained documents for receiving equivalent housing under renovation program. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning Policy and Construction Vladimir Efimov.

“This summer, contracts for apartments under the renovation program were signed by almost 11,200 Muscovites from 319 old buildings. The largest number of new housing owners was added in August — nearly 4,200 people. This is 23 percent more than in June, and about 15 percent more than in July. The city provided participants in the relocation with new apartments in the same districts where their old houses were located. Exceptions are the Zelenogradsky, Troitsky, and Novomoskovsky administrative districts. In these districts, relocation is carried out within the district boundaries. Residential complexes are being built near well-developed social and transport infrastructure to ensure newcomers a comfortable urban environment,” said Vladimir Efimov.

Existing retail outlets, household services, and city organizations in the areas will eventually be complemented by stores, cafes, pharmacies, private medical and educational centers, fitness studios, and other facilities. These will be opened in newly occupied residential buildings, whose ground floors are initially designed as non-residential.

“Almost half of Muscovites who received apartments under the renovation program this summer live in three capital districts. In the northeast, more than 1.9 thousand people signed contracts for new housing from June to August, in the north and southeast — approximately 1.6 thousand each. Specialists from the capital help participants of the renovation program to process the documents for moving.
