Specialists complex of Moscow’s urban economy improved the areas of Demyan Bedny and Marshal Tukhachevsky streets, located in the North-Western Administrative Okrug. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Petr Biryukov.
“Today, the Khoroshevo-Mnevniki district is actively developing, so we are conducting planned work there to improve the comfort of the urban environment. This year, we have renovated sections of Demyan Bedny Street and Marshal Tukhachevsky Street: we have arranged convenient routes to local points of attraction, adding modernity and functionality to the space,” noted Petr Biryukov.
The overhead power lines were placed underground in a cable duct. This allowed for an improved visual appearance of the area and ensured the safe operation of communications. In addition, specialists installed stormwater drainage.
New pavement covering a total area of more than 33,000 square meters was laid on sidewalks and roadways, benches for rest were installed, and convenient parking areas were arranged. In addition, over 100 streetlights with energy-efficient lamps were installed, and uncontrolled pedestrian crossings were equipped with contrasting lighting supports.
As part of the project, the Kolobok square in Novokhoroshevsky passage was also renovated. The paths and lighting system were updated there, the lawn was landscaped, benches were installed, and the surface and equipment in the playground were replaced.
Greening is an essential component of all capital improvement projects. For instance, more than 29,000 square meters of lawn have been planted on Demyan Bedny and Marshal Tukhachevsky streets.
