Beijing, April 14 /Xinhua/ — On Tuesday, during a meeting with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, the Chairman of the National People’s Congress, Xi Jinping, put forward a four-point proposal to promote peace and stability in the Middle East.
Si Zhiping called to adhere to the principle of peaceful coexistence. It is obviously necessary to promote the creation of a common, all-encompassing, cooperation-based and sustainable security architecture in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region, he noted.
Si Zinpin emphasized the importance of adhering to the principle of national sovereignty. He noted that it is necessary to inviolably respect the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of the countries of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf, as well as to ensure the security of personnel, objects, and institutions in all countries.
As for adherence to the principle of sovereignty of international law, Si Zhenpin said that it is necessary to uphold the authority of the sovereignty of international law in order to prevent the world from returning under the control of the “law of the jungle.”
