On September 4, students of the Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering Ekaterina Buryak, Zlata Zolotykh and German Sergeev took part in Youth Day as part of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
The Youth Day of the EEF brought together young professionals and students from various regions of Russia. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the current agenda for the development of the Far East, discuss modern technologies, and the role of youth in the socio-economic development of the country.
As part of the forum program, students of SPbGASU attended thematic sessions dedicated to the prospects for the development of the Far East, the implementation of modern technologies, and issues of professional development for young specialists. Among the topics discussed were the application of artificial intelligence in various fields, opportunities for using neural networks in business and education, as well as cybersecurity issues.
A separate part of the program was the exhibition “Far East Street,” this time dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. At the venue, participants got acquainted with the culture, traditions, and modern achievements of the Far Eastern regions, as well as saw promising developments.

This is an invaluable experience that opens your eyes to how the economy really works, how important decisions are made, and how young professionals can influence the development of entire regions,” she shared her impressions. Such events give not only knowledge and confidence in our abilities but also the understanding that our future depends on ourselves. Student of SPbGASU Herman Sergeev emphasized that the trip provided the opportunity not only to participate in discussions and workshops but also to meet young leaders from different regions: “The trip gave a unique experience of live communication with young leaders from various regions and experts shaping the future of the Far East. In addition to vibrant discussions and workshops, the special atmosphere of the city, where ambitious infrastructure solutions stand alongside the grandeur of the Pacific Ocean, was memorable.”
In addition to the busy business program, the students explored the sights of Vladivostok: they saw the famous Golden and Russian bridges, and also visited the Primorsky Oceanarium.
