Moscow continues to assist Donetsk and Lugansk in developing their municipal infrastructure. Capital city specialists are restoring the engineering networks of the sister cities in preparation for winter. Sergey Sobyanin reported this on his channel on in the messenger “Max”.

In in Donetsk equipment at the water intake units has been upgraded. Boilers are being repaired in the boiler houses, pumping and heat exchange equipment, filters, and tanks are being replaced. In Luhansk, the water supply station is being modernized this year and the sewer pumping station is being reconstructed. A new biological wastewater treatment plant is also being built in the city.

In addition, the city utility workers help prepare multi-apartment buildings and social facilities of sister cities for the autumn-winter period.

“Specialists are performing flushing and hydraulic testing of heating systems, eliminating identified damages, and inspecting boiler rooms,” noted the Mayor of Moscow.

Emergency teams from Moscow have been constantly on duty in Lugansk and Donetsk since August 2022, and they switch to an enhanced mode in winter. They are equipped with the necessary tools and equipment and are ready to perform work of various types.
