In September, as part of the educational program “NKO Lab,” a series of events will be held for employees of non-profit organizations (NPOs). Managers, fundraisers, PR managers, and project coordinators will learn how to attract donations without legal mistakes, properly prepare documents, and keep records of received funds. Separate sessions will be dedicated to working with CRM and interacting with government authorities. The events are free and will be held both in-person and online. The first class will take place on September 10 at 16:00 in the educational center at the address: Pleteshkovsky Lane, building 19. Workshop “How to conduct a fundraising campaign” Andrey Prokofiev, head of the partner relations department at the Nika charitable foundation, will conduct the session. He will explain how to choose a goal and timelines for fundraising, write texts for social networks and mailings, organize team work, and attract volunteers. On September 17 at 16:00 a workshop will be held at the educational center “CRM from scratch in two hours: a step-by-step start for NGOs”. It is designed for small NGOs that want to start using a CRM system instead of email and spreadsheets. You need to bring a laptop to the session.
Sergey Isakov, project manager of “Data Bridge,” will introduce participants to the basic workflow with CRM — from receiving an email to searching for information and preparing a report. During the workshop, guests will connect mail to the “Bitrix24” service, create a contact, add interaction history, set up filters, and generate a simple report. By the end of the session, each participant will have a training CRM and an understanding of how to use the system in their organization.
On September 22, NGO employees are invited to the educational center for a workshop “How to set up donation collection on an NGO website”. It will be dedicated to accepting regular donations from individuals through the website. Kirill Sindeev, fundraiser of the training and cynological center “Assistance Dogs,” will explain how to choose and set up acquiring for accepting payments by bank cards, organize fundraising, and establish communication with donors.
The practicum will conclude on September 30 “Interaction between NGOs and government bodies”. It will be conducted by Anastasia Tsvetkova — the CEO of the ‘Lake Baikal’ foundation — at the educational center. She will explain how to establish a dialogue with the authorities to receive government support when organizing events, participate in grant competitions, and apply for subsidies.
The “NKO Lab” program has been implemented since 2016. During this time, more than 70 thousand participants have joined it and about 20 thousand events have taken place, including consultations, webinars, and courses. Training is available year-round in various formats, with all materials and consultations provided free of charge.
