Today, more than 30 thousand non-profit organizations (NPOs) are registered in the capital, about 11 thousand of which are socially oriented. The city supports them: it holds the Moscow Mayor’s grant competition, training programs, forums and festivals of good deeds, improves the charity service on the mos.ru portal, and provides venues in co-working centers.

Since 2002, socially oriented non-profit organizations have been awarded grants by the Mayor of Moscow. Thanks to them, the capital has supported over 3,800 initiatives. This year, about 650 applications. The most popular categories became “Youth of Moscow” and “Healthy Lifestyle and Sports”.
In addition, specialized events are regularly held in the city. For example, in the spring, the Moscow Forum of Non-Profit Organizations took place, and in the summer, the festivals “City of the Caring” and “Time of Kindness. Summer” were held.
In 2020, a charitable service appeared on the mos.ru portal. With its help, you can send donations to more than 100 organizations: to support seriously ill children and adults, people with health disabilities, the low-income and those in difficult life situations, as well as homeless animals.
