In September, the first stage of the reconstruction of Simonovskaya Embankment in the south of Moscow was completed. Next year, it is planned to extend it to the Third Transport Ring (TTK). This was told by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.
“The extension of Simonovskaya Embankment to the Third Transport Ring is an important stage in creating a new unified transport route from Krasnokholmskaya Embankment to the 2nd Yuzhnoportovy Proezd. The project involves constructing a road three kilometers long. In the future, the new street and road network will be integrated with Marc Chagall Embankment, which will provide car owners with alternative options for moving around the city. We plan to complete the work by the end of 2027,” noted Vladimir Yefimov.
Plans include the reconstruction of Projected Passage No. 782 and the creation of new exits from Leninskaya Sloboda Street to the Third Transport Ring. Sidewalks and bike lanes are provided for pedestrians and cyclists.
“About 300 personnel and more than 50 units of equipment are involved in the works. Specialists are currently engaged in the creation of engineering networks: stormwater drainage, heat supply, and communications. In some sections of the project, the laying of the lower base of the pavement and the installation of retaining walls are underway,” noted the head of the Department of Construction of Transport and Engineering Infrastructure of the city of Moscow.
